Field Service Seeks experienced mechanical or electrical technician in Yonkers, NY
- Must have car and willing to travel;
- MUST HAVE HVAC experience.
- Strong electrical-mechanical experience; troubleshoot and repair of various components.
- Strong verbal and written communications required.
- Experience with automotive/ diesel/ trains is a plus.
- Must be able to read blue prints.
- Must have basis tool set; special tools provided.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems.
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly and tests.
- Solve mechanical or electronics problems involved in the operation of test equipment.
- Support the design of test procedures.
- Test performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, load cells, temperature gauges, electrostatic meters, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Field-testing and field support
- Install electrical parts and hardware in test equipment, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting electrical, electronic and pneumatic controls, rebuild pumps, valves, regulators, and have an excellent understanding of warranty repairs.
- Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams and utilize a variety of testing equipment for troubleshooting of equipment and systems to the board level.
- Solve mechanical or electronics problems involved in the operation of test equipment.
- Record and analyze test results, and prepare written testing documentation
